Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and confident Sales & Marketing Consultant to support our business growth and market development activities in the UK.
The role combines B2B sales, business development, marketing, lead generation, market research, networking, and event engagement. The successful candidate will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to identify potential business opportunities, build relationships with prospects, support marketing initiatives, and represent the company at industry events.
A significant part of this role involves attending technology conferences, networking sessions, industry meetups, and business events across Manchester and Leeds. The ideal candidate should be comfortable approaching new people, engaging with business professionals, and building meaningful professional connections.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone looking to build a strong foundation in B2B sales and technology marketing within an international organisation.
Key Responsibilities
A. Sales & Business Development
- Support lead-generation and business-development activities across the UK market.
- Research and identify potential clients, business partners, and target organisations.
- Build and maintain prospect lists using online research, LinkedIn, and other relevant sources.
- Conduct initial outreach to prospective clients and business contacts.
- Engage with prospects through professional communication and networking activities.
- Support the sales team in identifying and qualifying potential business opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of prospects, interactions, and follow-up activities.
- Assist with scheduling meetings and coordinating communication with prospective clients.
- Support follow-up activities after meetings, events, and networking sessions.
- Identify new opportunities through market research, industry events, and professional networking.
B. Events & Networking
- Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, networking events, and industry meetups.
- Attend business and technology events across Manchester and Leeds.
- Engage with attendees, potential clients, business partners, and industry professionals.
- Introduce the company's services and create awareness among relevant stakeholders.
- Identify potential sales leads and business opportunities during events.
- Collect and maintain relevant prospect information.
- Support pre-event preparation, registrations, promotional materials, and event logistics.
- Conduct post-event follow-ups and update lead information.
C. Marketing & Content
- Support the development and execution of marketing initiatives targeting the UK market.
- Assist in creating and publishing content across LinkedIn and other relevant digital channels.
- Support the preparation of presentations, marketing collateral, and promotional materials.
- Contribute ideas for social media campaigns and brand-building activities.
- Assist in maintaining consistent company messaging and brand presence.
- Monitor technology, business, and industry trends relevant to target markets.
- Support marketing campaigns designed to generate brand awareness and business opportunities.

D. Market Research & Lead Generation
- Research target industries, organisations, competitors, and potential customers.
- Identify companies and decision-makers relevant to the company's target market.
- Research industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities across the UK.
- Identify potential business opportunities through online research and professional networks.
- Support prospect qualification and lead segmentation.
- Maintain accurate marketing and sales databases.
- Provide basic market intelligence and insights to support sales and marketing activities.
E. Reporting & General Support
- Track sales, marketing, lead-generation, and networking activities.
- Prepare basic reports on leads, prospects, events, and marketing initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach and follow-up activities.
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams on ongoing initiatives.
- Support internal and external business communications where required.
- Take ownership of assigned activities and complete them within agreed timelines.
- Contribute ideas to improve lead generation, market visibility, and business engagement.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Sales, Digital Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence in communicating with new people in professional environments.
- Good interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong interest in sales, business development, and marketing.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- An interest in technology, business, and digital transformation.
- Willingness to attend in-person business and industry events.
- Ability and willingness to travel between Manchester and Leeds when required.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with LinkedIn and Canva.
- Basic understanding of B2B sales or business development.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing and social media.
- Previous involvement in university societies, events, marketing campaigns, or business-development activities.
- Experience participating in professional networking events.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn prospecting or lead-generation activities.
- Interest in B2B technology and enterprise solutions.

Important Role Requirement
