Company Description
The Mercure & Ibis London Earls Court hotel is a newly renovated property in Southwest London. The property is a large conferencing & group hotel comprising a total of 508 keys, across two distinct brands within Accor, Mercure & Ibis. As the property is a combo there are 282 Mercure rooms & 226 Ibis rooms. The London Suite is the main ballroom for all types of events, extremely versatile and plays a pivotal role in the property’s overall performance. The London Suite is divisible into nine separate meeting rooms, which when combined can be one of the largest pillar-free spaces in London for events up to 1,200 guests. The F&B outlets in the property have been created by PARIS SOCIETY. The F&B space named Barnaby’s is perfect for social events and either the Barnaby’s Kitchen or Barnaby’s Lounge Bar can be semi or completely privatised for groups, events or additional catering / meeting space for larger residential bookings and functions.

Job Description
Guest Centric
- To present a professional, friendly and efficient impression of the Hotel at all times.
- Providing potential and existing clients, and colleagues with the highest.
- To establish a good working relationship with guests, visitors and colleagues with a high level of sales service thorough the company values of forward thinking, open mindedness and drive.
- Ensure guest satisfaction at all times by liaising with other operational hotel departments to achieve high quality personalized and tailor-made services throughout their stay and guest service experiences.
- To liaise closely with all Heads of Department with regard to servicing and handling of events clients.
- Anticipate and identify guests' needs and requirements at all times and make available knowledge and resources to meet those requirements.
- Discuss objectives with the target customers and clients selecting and addressing the most efficient marketing plans.
- Finalize annual market research assuring an accurate plan to reach our targets.
- Proactively propose new promotions and packaging for our clients increasing the business revenue.
- Answer promptly to guests’ requirements, inquires and priorities providing high quality service.
- Have knowledge of the facilities, services and events offered by the hotel and the surrounding area and actively promote them as well as all amenities and programs offered by the company.
- To effectively handle and resolve any guest problems or complaints and keep The Hotel Management informed.
- Analyses customer feedback and provides strategic direction to continuously improve overall rating.
- Outstanding attention to detail, encouraging a culture of high standards throughout the team.

General & Administration
- Perform day to day sales activity including lead generation, account management, face to face meetings, contracting & rate negotiation (under the Events and Sales Director direction), site inspections, attendance at trade shows, client entertainment.
- Identify key competitors and carry out regular competitor analysis; monitoring their performance, rates and sales activity.
- Offer support to the Head OF Departments and Revenue Manager and events operation & production.
- To conduct regular department meetings involving the Sales & Events team to ensure effective communication takes place for both day to day and strategic issues.
- Management of Opera, Delphi.fdc ensuring all information is correct, updated and all bookings, enquiries and activities are logged to maintain a comprehensive account management system.
- Responsibility in organizing, attending and delivering the in house events.
- Leasing with the Head Chef for menus and package creation.
- Ensure the Ops Team have the info required by each client via BEO’s (function sheets).

- To supervise new starter programs for new colleagues and ensure they are positively welcomed into the team.
- Active contribute to the qualitative and quantitative targets of the department.
- Report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform, respecting the personal presentation standards at all times.
- To attend relevant training courses.
- To ensure you read the hotels employee handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotels rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
- Responsible for reporting immediately to the Director of Sales or any other appropriate Department Head, anything which considered being a health and safety hazard.
- Respects the hotel's commitments to the Environment Charter (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste).
- To act in all matters concerning the safety, security and well-being of guests and colleagues.
- To respond to any changes in the department as dedicated by the needs of the industry, company or hotel.
- To ensure that all departmental reports and correspondence are completed punctually and accurately.
- To participate in developing strategies and key objectives designed to enhance the performance and standards of the hotel.

Other
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks as required by the Events and Sales Director.
- To undertake Duty Management shifts as required.
- To be flexible with the rota, be available to cover shifts over the weekend and Bank Holidays as the business require.
