The foundations are already in place. The business has a knowledgeable, passionate team, excellent market credibility, and clear direction. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll lead both Sales and Marketing, creating a high-performance culture where activity, pipeline development, customer retention, and business development combine to deliver ambitious growth targets.

This is a role for someone who enjoys balancing strategic leadership with hands-on commercial involvement and who takes real ownership of the sales number.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the company's sales, revenue, and growth objectives.
  • Develop and execute a commercial strategy focused on new business generation, account growth, and market expansion.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Sales & Marketing teams to maximise performance and commercial effectiveness.
  • Drive a strong business development culture, ensuring a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities across target sectors.
  • Identify and convert strategic growth opportunities, including major accounts and high-value projects.
  • Protect and grow existing customer relationships, increasing share of wallet and long-term customer value.
  • Implement KPI frameworks, sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting to ensure delivery against targets.
  • Ensure Sales and Marketing operate as one integrated commercial function focused on lead generation, conversion, and revenue growth.
  • Maintain strong commercial oversight of pricing strategy, margins, market trends, and profitability.

About You

You will likely have:

  • Proven leadership experience within sales, commercial, revenue, or marketing functions.
  • Experience managing both sales and marketing teams in a B2B environment.
  • A background within packaging, manufacturing, distribution, FMCG, beauty, skincare, or a related sector is highly beneficial but not a prerequisite of the role.
  • Strong coaching and people leadership skills, with the ability to hold individuals accountable while maintaining engagement and trust.
  • A commercial mindset with experience managing pipelines, forecasting, pricing, and profitability.
  • A leadership style best described as firm but supportive. Someone who can challenge, drive performance, and raise standards while fitting into a warm, family-oriented culture.
  • Most importantly, you're a commercially ambitious leader who genuinely enjoys growing businesses. You have a track record of increasing revenue, winning new opportunities, developing high-performing teams, and creating the commercial focus needed to achieve ambitious growth targets.
