As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will influence strategic decision-making, develop market-leading sales and marketing initiatives, and help expand access to high-quality residential, nursing, dementia, and respite care services.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Commercial Growth
- Develop and implement a company-wide commercial, sales, and marketing strategy aligned to Kara Healthcare's growth ambitions.
- Lead sustainable occupancy and revenue growth across the care home portfolio.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform strategic business decisions.
- Support the organisation's growth strategy, including acquisitions, new home openings, and service development opportunities.
- Contribute to corporate planning as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Occupancy & Business Development
- Develop and deliver occupancy strategies that maximise enquiry generation, conversion, and admissions.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive commercial success.
- Support Home Managers and operational leaders to achieve and exceed occupancy targets.
- Analyse occupancy trends and performance data to identify opportunities and address challenges.
- Ensure a robust pipeline of private and publicly funded referrals.

Sales & Marketing Leadership
- Lead and inspire a high-performing sales and marketing function.
- Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns that deliver measurable return on investment.
- Strengthen Kara Healthcare's market position and brand awareness across all regions.
- Oversee sales and marketing budgets, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Utilise market intelligence and data insights to drive decision-making and improve performance.
Stakeholder Engagement & Strategic Partnerships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Local Authorities, NHS partners, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), social workers, commissioners, hospital discharge teams, and community organisations.
- Represent Kara Healthcare at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Develop strategic partnerships that support occupancy growth, referrals, and business development.
- Enhance the organisation's reputation within the health and social care sector.
Digital Marketing & Brand Development
- Oversee website performance, SEO, PPC, social media, email marketing, and lead-generation activity.
- Optimise CRM systems and reporting tools to monitor enquiries, conversions, and occupancy forecasting.
- Ensure brand consistency and excellence across all communication channels.
- Promote positive resident, family, and colleague stories that reinforce Kara Healthcare's values and reputation.
- Drive innovation in digital marketing and customer engagement strategies.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Serve as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, helping shape organisational strategy and future growth.
- Lead, mentor, and develop sales and marketing colleagues across the organisation.
- Coach Home Managers in business development, community engagement, and local marketing initiatives.
- Present regular performance reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to the Executive Team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

About You
Essential
- Minimum 7 years' experience in a senior sales, marketing, business development, or commercial leadership role within care, healthcare, or adult social care.
- Proven track record of increasing occupancy, revenue, and commercial performance across multi-site operations.
- Experience operating at Director, Head of Department, or Senior Leadership level.
- Strong understanding of adult social care, commissioning processes, and funding pathways.
- Experience building relationships with Local Authorities, NHS referral networks, commissioners, and key stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Commercially astute, strategic in approach, and highly results focused.
- Strong analytical capability with experience using data to inform business decisions.
Desirable
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Management, or a related discipline.
- CIM qualification, MBA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Established network within adult social care, healthcare, or commissioning environments.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, new care home openings, or organisational expansion projects.
- Experience leading multi-site sales and marketing teams.
