Are you passionate about hospitality, sales, marketing and social media? Do you enjoy creating great content, building relationships and finding new business opportunities?
Following an exciting refurbishment, the Glasgow Marriott Hotel is looking for a creative and commercially minded Sales & Marketing Executive to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career across sales and marketing within a busy hotel environment. Whether you're bringing some initial experience in sales, marketing, business development or hospitality, or looking to take the next step in your career, you'll be supported by an experienced Sales & Marketing team and given the opportunity to build your skills across a broad range of commercial and marketing activity.
This is a genuinely varied role where no two days will be the same. You'll combine hotel sales, business development, digital marketing, social media, content creation, OTA management and client engagement, giving you the opportunity to build a broad skill set and see the direct impact of your work.
This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role, working across five days and based at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel. You'll be an active part of the hotel team, working on-property alongside colleagues, clients and guests. Hours will generally be around 9.00am–5.30pm, although flexibility is expected for networking, client events and other commercial activity, which may occasionally take place outside these hours. Some travel may also be required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
