Clarke Gammon is one of the most respected independent names in residential property across Surrey and Hampshire. Established for over 100 years, we are looking to recruit a motivated and ambitious Sales Negotiator to join our successful residential sales team in Guildford.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established office with a strong local reputation, high-quality instructions and genuine scope to progress.

As a multi-disciplinary property consultancy, Clarke Gammon advises a wide range of clients across residential sales, lettings, land, new homes and professional services. You will work within an experienced and supportive team, handling a varied portfolio ranging from town-centre apartments and family homes through to substantial country properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing buyer enquiries and conducting viewings professionally and enthusiastically
  • Negotiating offers and helping secure the best possible outcomes for clients
  • Supporting vendors throughout the sales process with clear, regular communication
  • Following up enquiries and viewings promptly and identifying opportunities to generate new business
  • Building strong relationships with buyers, sellers and local professional contacts
  • Assisting with the preparation and launch of new instructions
  • Liaising with photographers and ensuring property marketing meets brand standards
  • Contributing to office targets and the continued growth of the Guildford business
  • Maintaining consistently high standards of customer service

About You

We are looking for someone who is confident, personable, commercially minded and keen to build a long-term career in property.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in residential sales, lettings or another strong client-facing sales role
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • A natural ability to build rapport with clients and buyers
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, energetic approach and confidence taking the initiative
  • A strong work ethic with the willingness to take ownership and follow opportunities through
  • Resilience, self-motivation and a desire to develop
  • Good knowledge of Guildford and the surrounding area, or the enthusiasm to develop it quickly
  • A positive, professional and team-focused approach
  • A full UK driving licence
