About Derbyshire Properties

Derbyshire Properties is an established, independent estate agency specialising in residential sales and lettings across Derbyshire.

We’re now looking for a new team member to join our busy Pride Park, Derby office. You’ll be joining a friendly, ambitious team where local property knowledge, great customer service and a proactive approach are valued.

Role Description

This is a full-time, office-based Sales Negotiator role based at our Pride Park, Derby office.

The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of properties, respond to enquiries, arrange and conduct viewings, and provide clear and timely feedback to vendors. You’ll negotiate offers, progress sales through to completion and maintain accurate records on our systems.

Requirements

  • A professional, friendly approach and a genuine passion for property, both in the office and when meeting clients.
  • Experience in estate agency or property-related roles, including sales or lettings, with a strong understanding of local real estate markets.
  • Strong communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to adapt to different client needs.
  • Proven customer service skills, with a focus on responsiveness, empathy, and resolving queries efficiently.
  • Sales skills, including negotiation, objection handling, and working towards agreed targets in a structured environment.
  • Ability to work effectively within a small estate agency team, collaborating with colleagues and supporting shared objectives.
  • Good organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple properties and tasks simultaneously.
  • Comfort with office technology and property software; proficiency in standard office applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets) is beneficial.
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for viewings and client appointments is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in the Derby or wider Derbyshire property market is desirable but not essential.
