Senior Sales Negotiator / Sales Negotiator – Esher
Location: Esher, Surrey
Basic Salary: £27,000
Car Allowance: £2,000
OTE: £60,000+
Commission: 7% rising to 20%
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
I’m recruiting for a Sales Negotiator / Senior Sales Negotiator to join one of the strongest-performing offices within a highly regarded Surrey estate agency business.
And this is a particularly good office to join. Esher is very much the jewel in the crown for this business: a vibrant, ambitious and genuinely fun office with a driven sales team, a fantastic local reputation and some seriously impressive property to sell.
The branch is currently taking on around 30 new instructions every month, with an average sale price of more than £1.1 million. There is plenty of stock, plenty happening and, importantly, plenty of opportunity to earn.
This role is predominantly about selling houses. You’ll be conducting viewings, building relationships with buyers, negotiating offers and progressing agreed sales through to completion. There is very little emphasis on valuations or winning instructions, making this a great opportunity for someone who loves the sales side of estate agency and wants to work with quality stock in a high-performing environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Conducting viewings across a fantastic portfolio of Esher and surrounding-area properties
- Building strong relationships with buyers and understanding exactly what they are looking for
- Following up viewings proactively and creating opportunities
- Negotiating offers and agreeing sales
- Managing and progressing your sales through to exchange and completion
- Keeping vendors and buyers informed throughout the process
- Working closely with the wider office to ensure opportunities are maximised
- Delivering the high level of service expected when dealing with properties at this end of the market
What I’m looking for
You’ll already have experience within residential estate agency sales and be comfortable working in a busy, target-driven environment.
You could currently be a Sales Negotiator looking for your next move, or an established Senior Sales Negotiator who wants access to better stock, stronger earning potential and a high-performing team.
More than anything, I’m looking for someone who is:
- Commercial and naturally sales-minded
- Confident dealing with buyers and vendors
- Proactive with follow-up rather than waiting for the phone to ring
- Comfortable showing and discussing £1m+ property
- Competitive and motivated by earning well
- Personable, energetic and good fun to have in an office
- Able to manage a sale properly from offer through to completion
- Keen to be surrounded by other ambitious, successful people

The package
The basic salary is £27,000, plus a £2,000 car allowance.
Commission starts at 7% and increases to 20%, with an expected OTE of £60,000+.
But the opportunity goes significantly beyond that. There are negotiators at a similar level within this branch currently earning in excess of £100,000, so for somebody who can sell, follow up properly and make the most of the opportunity in front of them, the earning potential is genuinely substantial.
This won’t suit someone looking for a quiet branch or a role where business comes to them. It will suit someone who wants to join a busy, successful and sociable sales office, work with excellent property and be rewarded properly for their performance.
If you’re already selling property in Surrey, South West London or the surrounding areas and feel you could do more in the right environment, I’d be very happy to have a confidential conversation.
“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
