The Astute Group has been bringing brands to life since 1976. As we celebrate 50 years in business, we’re continuing to grow and are looking for an organised, reliable, and enthusiastic Sales & Office Administrator to join our team.
This is not a traditional sales role. You won’t be expected to cold call or chase sales. Instead, you’ll provide essential administrative support to our sales team while also helping with the wider day-to-day running of the office.
We’re looking for someone who is comfortable with administration, enjoys keeping things organised, and has good attention to detail. Previous experience in sales administration, general office administration, and/or purchase ledger would be an advantage.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the sales team with quotes, orders, customer enquiries, and general administration
- Keeping customer and project information up to date
- Processing paperwork and ensuring jobs move smoothly through the business
- Assisting with purchase ledger, including processing supplier invoices and keeping records up to date
- General office administration and supporting the wider team when required
- Communicating with customers and suppliers by phone and email
- Using our business systems and learning how our processes work
- Helping to keep the office organised and running efficiently

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
