Job Purpose
The Sales Operations Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Sales function through accurate performance analysis, reporting and data management, while coordinating sales programmes, targets, dealer incentives and financial processes. The role will provide actionable insights to support sales performance, forecasting and strategic planning, working closely with Sales, Finance, Dealer Development and external partners to ensure data accuracy, operational efficiency and compliance.
Main Responsibilities
- Sales Performance & Targeting: Analyse regional and dealer-level sales data, identify performance gaps and support the development and tracking of sales targets.
- Sales Programme Management: Coordinate sales programmes and initiatives, ensuring they are implemented correctly and performance is monitored.
- Reporting & Insights: Produce dashboards and reports, providing actionable insights to support sales reviews, forecasting and strategic planning.
- Field Team Support: Provide field sales teams with accurate performance data and support the preparation of business performance and leadership materials.
- Data Management & Integrity: Maintain core sales data and ensure information is accurate, consistent and aligned across internal systems.
- DVLA & RAV Reporting: Coordinate RAV submissions with the DVLA and ensure vehicle data is reported accurately and within regulatory requirements.
- Finance Coordination: Work with Finance to manage payments, dealer incentives and programme funding, including tracking and reconciliation.
- Compliance & Governance: Support sales operations audits, monitor compliance with internal policies and regulations, and escalate potential risks.

Education, Skills And Personal Characteristics Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics or a related field. A postgraduate qualification is advantageous but not essential.
- Prior experience in a sales operations, business analysis or commercial support role.
- Experience within the automotive industry or working with dealer networks is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with DVLA processes and RAV reporting is a plus.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Finance and IT teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI and other data analysis/reporting tools.
- Training in CRM systems, ERP platforms or dealer management systems is beneficial.
- Understanding of financial processes and compliance frameworks
