About FundingLinks
FundingLinks is a fast-growing commercial finance brokerage helping UK SMEs access the funding they need to grow, manage cashflow, and invest in their businesses. We work across a broad range of funding products including invoice finance, unsecured lending, secured lending, supplier finance, revolving credit facilities, and trade finance.
We are building a modern, technology-led brokerage and are investing heavily in our own CRM, client portal, and automation infrastructure. As the business continues to scale, we are looking for a Sales Operations Executive to sit at the centre of our deal process and help us improve how opportunities move from qualification through to lender submission and completion.
The Role
This is a hands-on operational role supporting our team of commercial finance brokers. You will take ownership of deal progression once an opportunity has been qualified, helping ensure clients provide the required information, applications are packaged correctly, lenders receive complete submissions, and deals continue moving through the pipeline. The role is not simply administrative.
You will also be expected to use data to identify bottlenecks, improve processes, and help shape the systems and automations we build as FundingLinks grows. You will work closely with the directors, brokers, clients, and lenders on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the collection of financial and supporting documents from clients.
- Proactively chase outstanding information and keep live opportunities progressing.
- Review documentation and ensure deal packs are complete before submission.
- Prepare lender applications and supporting information.
- Submit applications and liaise with lenders throughout the underwriting process.
- Manage lender and client information requests.
- Keep our CRM accurate, ensuring every live opportunity has the correct stage, next action, and outstanding requirements.
- Work closely with brokers to remove administrative workload and allow them to focus on advising clients and closing business.
- Monitor deal progression and identify cases that are stalled or require escalation.
- Use pipeline data to identify bottlenecks, trends, and opportunities to improve conversion and completion times.
- Identify repetitive tasks and processes that could be improved or automated.
- Provide feedback into the development of our CRM, client portal, and wider automation infrastructure.
- Support the wider sales team with reporting, process improvement, and operational efficiency.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
