Sales Operations Manager
We’re looking for an experienced Sales Operations Manager to lead and develop a client-focused team, driving strong commercial performance and an excellent customer experience.
You’ll take ownership of day-to-day team performance, with a focus on improving conversion, protecting margin and supporting revenue growth. You’ll coach and motivate your team, build strong client relationships and use performance data to identify opportunities and continually improve results.
About the candidate
You’ll be an experienced people manager with a strong commercial mindset and a track record of developing high-performing teams. You’ll be confident managing KPIs, coaching individuals and using performance data to drive improvements.

A natural communicator and relationship builder, you’ll be comfortable working with clients and senior stakeholders, influencing decisions and negotiating when required. You’ll be proactive, organised and solutions-focused, with the ability to balance excellent customer service with achieving commercial results.
Salary: £38,000 – £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 8:45am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
Location: Exeter
What you’ll do
- Lead, coach and develop the team to achieve individual and business objectives.
- Drive commercial performance, focusing on conversion, revenue and margin.
- Monitor KPIs and use performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop a proactive and consultative approach to sales and client enquiries.
- Build strong relationships with key clients and understand their ongoing requirements.
- Support the team with complex or commercially important opportunities.
- Maintain high standards of customer service throughout the client journey.
- Work collaboratively across the business to support client retention and growth.
- Continually improve processes, productivity and ways of working.
