Sales Operations Manager
Location: London, Hybrid
Salary: Excellent Basic + Commission
About the Role
Our client is a leading company in the aviation industry and is seeking to employ a Sales Operations Manager.
Purpose of Position
Manage and optimise the Sales Operations team to support the sales team through every stage of the sales process to shorten sales cycles and maximise conversion. Collaborate with the sales team and continuously analyse the sales experience to identify and implement improvements in sales processes, sales systems, tools, support, and other opportunities to drive revenue growth and improve sales productivity.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, including Finance and IT, to accelerate speed to market while ensuring that all processes, documents, and communications are compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Serve as a subject matter expert on the company's program, sales processes, and product terms and support internal stakeholders and the sales team on complex deal structures.
Key Responsibilities
Team Management
- Train and manage the Sales Operations team to excel in their role in supporting the Sales team throughout the sales cycle. This includes but is not limited to proposal generation, operational queries, providing flight quotes, improving pipeline management processes, and creating reports and dashboards.
- Develop and coach the Sales Operations team, providing strategic guidance, tactical support, performance feedback, and career development to enhance team productivity and engagement.
- Lead recruitment efforts to attract and hire top talent.
- Lead and motivate team members in their areas of expertise and through performance metrics, driving for a culture of excellence and results.
- Accountable for the effective use of the budget allocated to the Sales Operations team.

Sales Optimisation
- Improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and sales productivity by implementing improvements in the sales process, including automation opportunities, resolving obstacles, and creating synergies across the sales function.
- Lead high-priority projects, including proposal updates and RFPs to facilitate consistent and effective communication of the company's value proposition.
- In collaboration with the Legal department and Data Privacy Specialist, ensure Legal and GDPR compliance in all processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Sales initiatives.

Sales Systems Management
- Oversee CRM implementation and management, balancing user experience and management visibility requirements.
- Ensure compliance and best practices usage of Sales Systems, including Salesforce and Conga.
- Work closely with IT to support the development, implementation, and use of technology within the Sales team, address technical issues, and integrate systems to improve efficiency of sales processes.
- Other duties can be performed subject to being within the same professional career, considered related, or functionally linked.
Personal Specification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a Sales Operations team (preferred)
- Experience with Salesforce
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Ability to interpret and utilize complex data
- Fluency in Business English (written and spoken)
- Strong communicator and collaborator with experience in cross-department communications
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Adaptable to evolving company needs
