Position Summary

Representing Go-to-Market Operations, the Sales Operations Partner III will be responsible for leading programs and projects related to the delivery of new and existing products and sales processes. You will be continually improving and pioneering new features to improve ease of use for our internal and external customers. You will act as the liaison between sales, sales ops, and HQ teams to drive scalability and increase automation to meet growing demands. In this role, you will be a sales systems and process improvement leader globally, driving operational productivity.

In addition, this role will provide support for active opportunities that may require unique or complex solutioning. You will have the opportunity to partner with many teams across F5, including Digital/IT, Global Services, Accounting, Finance, Field Sales, Customer Success, and other Sales Operations groups. You must bring both excellent thought leadership for your area and strong stakeholder management skills. You will assist with the development of roadmaps and requirements using a balance of future vision, near-term opportunities, user requirements, business insight, and management of day-to-day issues. The role drives business value by mindfully listening and assembling stakeholder requirements that frame process improvement projects. Progress is not only achieved by reaching expected outcomes; it is realized by stakeholder adoption and ownership.

The ideal candidate would be knowledgeable about F5 buying programs and have the ability to drive complex, high business impact features to timely completion. Program or Project Management experience is desirable. They should be comfortable interacting with all levels within the organization, including senior leadership.

Primary Responsibilities

Process Improvement (60% of time)

  • Gather and articulate business requirements and provide recommendations to cross functional teams
  • Manage end to end support of complex deal requests submitted by field sales and sales operations
  • Creative solution and stakeholder management through multiple stages of program/process implementation
  • Ensure user experience is solid, driving successful adoption of solutions with end users
  • Rally teams around clear, stable priorities focused on program goals and user needs, driving timely tradeoff decisions when needed
  • Identify, design, document, and clearly communicate process requirements across a wide range of audiences
  • Understand the selling process and ability to ensure the functional needs are represented in the application solutions (e.g., Salesforce and Oracle CPQ)
  • Communicate trade-offs between customer expectations and engineering realities

Portfolio Management (30% of time)

  • Own and maintain a centralized portfolio of team initiatives, process enhancements, and operational requests from intake through delivery.
  • Establish structured intake, evaluation, and prioritization practices that align resources to the highest-impact business needs and organizational priorities.
  • Partner with Digital/IT and cross-functional stakeholders to manage the backlog, confirm ownership, sequence work, and support informed prioritization decisions.
  • Provide clear visibility into portfolio status, dependencies, risks, timelines, and delivery commitments through consistent tracking and reporting.
  • Establish portfolio governance and regular review cadences to evaluate progress, resolve competing priorities, and recommend trade-off decisions.
  • Monitor initiative outcomes and adoption to assess business impact, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure intended value is realized.
  • Advocate and champion standardization to increase automation, operational consistency, and scale.
  • Capture and communicate portfolio accomplishments and business impact to improve visibility into the team’s contributions.

Communications (10% of time)

  • Execute communications plans and coordinate overall project activities with cross functional SME’s
  • Identify and drive resolution on issues; effectively escalating where appropriate
  • Ensure appropriate organizational change management is utilized throughout the project, including training, communications and adoption management
  • Ability to understand the “voice of the field”, voice of the customer”, and “voice of operations” and represent this back to the business to drive programmatic and continuous improvements
  • Manage stakeholder expectations with clear, consistent communication
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to listen, prioritize and champion key initiatives and projects

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform other special projects and tasks assigned by the Sr Manager of Go-to-Market Operations.
  • Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies

  • Critical thinking, the desire to continuously learn and improve, and comfort working in unfamiliar areas
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to articulate complex technology and business opportunities clearly

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree Preferred
  • 3-5 years of focused project management experience or the equivalent Preferred
  • Knowledge of CPQ is preferred
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com from either a sales or administrator perspective is preferred
  • Knowledge of configuration, pricing, and quoting processes preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table. Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
  • Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
  • Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, approximately 10% of the time spent traveling.

Salary

The annual base pay for this position is: $99,400.00 - $149,200.00
F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
