Job Description
This role is based in our 240 Blackfriars London office.
The Sales Compensation & Planning Analyst reports into Sales Planning & Compensation Manager, and supports the design, implementation, and administration of sales compensation programs and planning processes. This role focuses on process execution, and operational support to ensure accurate compensation calculations and effective sales planning. The position provides analytical support to sales leadership while maintaining compensation systems and contributing to planning initiatives under senior guidance.
Hands on experience working with Xactly and SQL is critical.
This role serves as an excellent entry point into sales operations and compensation management, offering:
- Hands-on experience with compensation systems and sales planning processes
- Exposure to senior leadership and strategic planning initiatives
- Skill development in advanced analytics and process improvement
- Cross-functional collaboration with Finance, HR, Operations, and Sales teams
Key Responsibilities
Sales Compensation Administration & Support
- Support the design and testing of compensation plan changes and new incentive structures
- Maintain compensation databases and ensure accurate payment processing
- Process compensation inquiries and resolve calculation discrepancies
- Execute and administer sales compensation plans including commission calculations and bonus processing

Process Support & System Maintenance
- Execute standard sales planning and compensation processes
- Maintain data integrity in compensation and CRM systems
- Support system testing for compensation platform updates
- Create and update process documentation and user guides
- Assist with training materials and user support
Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare regular compensation and sales performance reports
- Support ad-hoc analysis requests from sales leadership
- Maintain KPI dashboards and performance tracking tools
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end reporting processes
- Provide data validation and quality assurance support
Sales Planning & Data Analysis
- Support annual and quarterly sales planning processes including quota distribution and territory analysis
- Assist with territory mapping and boundary analysis
- Support quota allocation processes and maintain quota tracking systems
- Analyze territory balance and performance metrics
- Help manage territory realignments and quota adjustments
- Maintain territory assignment databases and documentation
Qualifications
Core Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent communication skills for working with sales teams and stakeholders
- Process-oriented mindset with focus on accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Xactly or equivalent compensation software is essential and SQL experience highly desirable
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce) and data extraction
- Strong Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
- Basic knowledge of business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Understanding of database concepts and data management
- Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools
Education & Experience
- Business, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in sales operations, business analysis, or related analytical role
- Experience with compensation calculations or financial analysis preferred
- Background in data analysis and reporting
