Denbies Wine Estate Ltd - Sales, PR & Marketing Manager

Denbies Wine Estate Ltd, one of England's largest vineyards, is currently recruiting for an experienced and highly skilled Sales, PR & Marketing Manager.

Beyond wine production, we are also a visitor attraction and tourism destination for destination weddings, a 17 Bedroom Vineyard Hotel, Hospitality, Catering, Retail, Corporate Events and Tours, Tastings and Events, to name a few. We are looking for an experienced, creative and commercially minded Sales, PR & Marketing Manager to lead our marketing and communications activity and help grow awareness, engagement and revenue across the estate.

The Role

As our Sales, PR & Marketing Manager, you will develop and deliver an integrated marketing and PR strategy that showcases Denbies as a unique destination. Working closely with the Senior Management Team and operational departments, you will promote our wine, hospitality, hotel, weddings, retail, events, tours and visitor experiences to both new and existing audiences. This is a hands-on role requiring a combination of strategic thinking, creativity, commercial awareness and strong digital expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Marketing Campaigns

  • Develop and implement an annual marketing and communications plan aligned with the wider business objectives.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Generate new business opportunities across corporate, group, trade and consumer markets.
  • Build relationships with corporate clients, event organisers, travel trade partners and agencies.
  • Monitor sales performance and prepare regular reports.
  • Negotiate contracts and partnership agreements.
  • Plan, deliver and optimise integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social media, email, print, events and other relevant channels.
  • Develop campaigns to increase visitor numbers, bookings, sales, brand awareness and customer engagement.
  • Work closely with Senior Managers and department heads to understand their commercial objectives and develop marketing activity to support them.
  • Manage marketing budgets and monitor campaign performance and return on investment.

PR & Communications

  • Develop and implement a proactive PR strategy to increase Denbies' profile across tourism, hospitality, wine, weddings, lifestyle and local media.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, influencers, content creators and relevant tourism organisations.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for positive media coverage and editorial features.
  • Write and distribute press releases, media communications and promotional content.
  • Coordinate press visits, media opportunities and influencer collaborations.
  • Manage media enquiries and ensure consistent messaging and brand representation.

Digital & Brand Management

  • Lead the overall social media strategy and ensure content supports Denbies' brand, campaigns and commercial objectives.
  • Manage and work closely with the Marketing Assistant, providing direction, campaign priorities, content briefs and feedback to ensure a consistent and engaging brand presence across all channels.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Assistant on ideas, photography, video, reels, stories and other engaging content.
  • Monitor social media performance, audience engagement and growth, using insights to continually improve content and campaigns.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all communications channels.
  • Protect and enhance the organisation's reputation.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends

Website & E-commerce

  • Oversee and optimise Shopify websites and online booking platforms.
  • Improve the customer journey and online conversion rates.
  • Ensure website content is accurate, engaging, commercially focused and aligned with current campaigns.
  • Use analytics and customer data to identify opportunities for improvement.

Partnerships & Destination Marketing

  • Develop relationships with local businesses, tourism organisations, hospitality partners and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for joint marketing, cross-promotion and destination campaigns.
  • Help position Denbies as a leading visitor and tourism destination in Surrey.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Monitor and analyse marketing performance using Google Analytics, Meta Insights and other reporting tools.
  • Produce monthly marketing and campaign performance reports for Senior Management.
  • Use data and customer insights to improve future campaigns and demonstrate marketing effectiveness.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is both strategic and hands-on, with the creativity to develop compelling campaigns and the analytical skills to measure their success.

You will ideally have:

  • 5+ years' experience in sales marketing, PR, digital marketing, destination marketing, tourism or hospitality.
  • Experience developing and delivering integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of social media management, content creation and digital marketing.
  • Proven PR and media relations experience.
  • Experience with Google Ads, SEO/SEM, email marketing and digital analytics.
  • Experience using Shopify and/or online booking platforms.
  • Strong graphic design and content creation skills, including Canva.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of customer journeys and conversion.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • The confidence to work with Senior Managers, operational teams and external partners.
  • A creative, proactive and practical approach to marketing.
  • A degree in Marketing, Communications or a related subject, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

This is a full-time, on-site position, working 5 days out of 7. This role will also include occasional weekend and evening work.
