Company Description

Smartech Home Automation London specializes in the design, supply, installation, and customization of smart home systems that integrate electronic and electrical devices into a single, easy-to-use app and centralized home automation controller. The team works closely with certified electricians to deliver wired, wireless, and centralized smart lighting solutions using leading platforms such as Control4 and KNX.

Smartech provides advanced lighting integration with blinds, audio, TV, and motion sensors to create seamless and flexible home environments. The company also offers comprehensive security solutions, including certified installation of Texecom burglar alarms and Hikvision security cameras integrated with home automation.

In addition, Smartech designs and installs dedicated home cinema rooms, tailoring lighting, acoustics, seating, and Dolby Atmos sound systems to fit different budgets and preferences.

Role Description

The Sales Project Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Slough, with a mix of on-site client visits, office work, and some work from home. This role oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of smart home, security, and home cinema projects, from initial client inquiry through design, quotation, and installation coordination.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Managing sales pipelines
  • Preparing proposals
  • Conducting site surveys
  • Collaborating with technical teams and electricians to ensure accurate project scoping and delivery

The Sales Project Manager builds and maintains strong customer relationships, provides regular project updates, and resolves issues promptly to support a high level of client satisfaction.

The role also involves:

  • Tracking project performance against timelines and budgets
  • Identifying upsell opportunities
  • Contributing feedback to improve processes and service offerings

Qualifications

  • Strong project coordination skills, including planning, scheduling, and managing multiple concurrent smart home and security projects
  • Analytical skills to interpret technical requirements, evaluate solutions, and monitor project and sales performance metrics
  • Excellent customer service skills to provide responsive support, manage expectations, and build long-term client relationships
  • Clear and confident communication skills for client meetings, presentations, documentation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven sales skills, including lead qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closing opportunities in a technical or solutions-based environment

Beneficial Experience

  • Relevant experience in smart home automation, AV, electrical, security systems, or construction project environments
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting in Slough, with a valid right to work in the UK and flexibility to travel to client sites as needed
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, project management software, and basic MS Office applications; a valid driver’s license is an advantage

Educational Background

  • A vocational qualification or degree in business
