Project Sales Manager – Critical Power / Industrial Projects
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 + Bonus
Sector: Critical Power / Power Generation / Industrial Projects
We are recruiting for an experienced Project Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to join a leading organisation within the critical power sector.
This is a key growth position focused on identifying, developing and converting high-value project opportunities across industrial markets including healthcare, utilities, energy, pharmaceuticals and process industries.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building a strong project pipeline, developing relationships with key decision-makers and increasing specification and sales activity across the UK industrial market.
The Role
As Project Sales Manager, you will take ownership of developing new project opportunities and expanding the company's presence within key industrial sectors. You will build relationships with EPC contractors, consultants, end users and major industrial accounts, identifying projects at an early stage and working with customers throughout the sales process.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Identify and develop new project opportunities across industrial and critical power markets
- Generate new business and increase the value of the project sales pipeline
- Build and maintain relationships with EPC contractors, consultants, end users and industrial customers
- Increase product and solution specification on upcoming projects
- Conduct regular face-to-face customer meetings and site visits
- Attend networking, industry and business events
- Deliver CPD presentations to consultants and prospective customers
- Promote the company's full range of critical power products and services
- Prepare and present proposals to prospective customers
- Follow up quotations and opportunities through to successful conversion
- Recruit and develop new customers and accounts
- Negotiate and establish commercial terms with new customers alongside senior management
- Achieve agreed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and record all activity within Salesforce
- Produce monthly sales and pipeline reports
- Attend regular sales meetings and opportunity reviews
- Work closely with internal technical and commercial teams to deliver customer solutions

The Candidate
We are looking for an experienced Project Sales Manager, Business Development Manager or Technical Sales professional with a strong understanding of industrial project sales.

Ideally, you will have experience within one or more of the following:
- Power Generation
- Generators
- Critical Power
- UPS
- Switchgear
- CHP
- Energy
- Electrical Infrastructure
- Data Centres
- Industrial Engineering
Experience selling into environments such as hospitals, utilities, pharmaceutical facilities, manufacturing sites, process industries or other mission-critical applications would be particularly advantageous.
You should be comfortable developing relationships with consultants, contractors and end users and have experience managing longer-term, higher-value project sales cycles.
Package
- £55,000 – £65,000 basic salary
