What’s the Problem?

50% of gym members quit within their first year. Not because they don’t care, but because the system around them is broken. Most gyms are fighting churn with outdated software, manual processes, and generic “one-size-fits-all” engagement. PT’s are stretched. Operators are overwhelmed. And members quietly fall off before they ever build a real habit.

Scalr exists to change that. We’re rebuilding how gyms and fitness studios engage their members, using modern software, behavioral science, and simple systems that actually help people show up consistently. The result? Stronger communities, healthier businesses, and members who stick around because they feel supported.

Now we’re looking for a Sales Rep who’s excited to be on the front line of that mission, working directly with gym owners, studio founders, and fitness operators across the UK to help them grow, retain, and win. If you love fitness, people, and the buzz of closing deals that actually make a difference, this role is for you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
