Fabric Sales Representative
Job Type: Full-time, On site
Salary: Competitive salary
Location: North London
We are hiring on behalf of our client, an established and growing B2B fabric wholesaler with over 140 years of heritage and a strong reputation across the UK textile, fashion, hobby and craft industries. Our client is currently undergoing an exciting period of growth, investing in its product ranges, digital capabilities, sales structure and customer experience. They are looking for an ambitious, commercially driven Fabric Sales Representative to join their growing sales team.
This is a hands-on B2B sales role combining account management, face-to-face selling and new business development. You will manage and grow an established portfolio of customers while actively identifying and winning new business opportunities across the UK.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a salesperson who wants to play an active role in growing a territory rather than simply managing an existing customer list. You will inherit an established customer portfolio, but the focus will be on developing those relationships further, identifying new opportunities and delivering measurable sales growth. The role will involve regular customer visits and sales trips, giving you the opportunity to present physical fabric ranges, understand customer requirements, identify commercial opportunities and build long-term relationships.
Why Join?
- Face-to-face selling – Present physical product ranges, understand customer needs and turn opportunities into orders.
- Strong product offering – Sell an extensive and continually evolving fabric collection, including new ranges and competitively priced core products.
- Ownership of your accounts – Take responsibility for developing your portfolio and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Regular UK travel – Spend meaningful time visiting customers, developing relationships and generating new business.
- Commercial exposure – Work closely with senior decision-makers and internal product and buying teams.
- Exciting growth phase – Join a business investing in its brand, products, systems and customer experience.
- Long-term career progression – There is genuine opportunity to grow your portfolio, responsibilities and position within the sales team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
