Territory: Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, with regular travel.


Purpose of the Role

Grow sales of Slurryquip equipment throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Generate new leads, recruit new dealers and build strong relationships with farmers and agricultural contractors. Manage enquiries from first contact through to confirmed order and customer handover, providing machinery demonstrations and practical technical support.


Main Responsibilities

  • Expand and support our dealer network throughout Ireland.
  • Meet agreed sales targets across the territory.
  • Actively generate new leads and approach potential customers and dealers.
  • Maintain regular contact with existing customers to generate repeat business and referrals.
  • Visit farms, contractors and dealerships to understand their equipment requirements.
  • Recommend suitable products and organise and carry out machinery demonstrations.
  • Prepare accurate quotations, follow up promptly, negotiate within agreed pricing limits and close sales.
  • Record customer activity, sales opportunities and next actions in the CRM.
  • Confirm accurate customer specifications and coordinate orders with the technical and production teams.
  • Keep customers informed about their orders and agreed delivery arrangements.
  • Provide technical and mechanical support when required, working within your training and competence and alongside the service team.
  • Attend agricultural shows, open days and demonstration events.
  • Report customer feedback, competitor activity and sales opportunities to management.
  • Communicate payment terms clearly and support the collection of agreed deposits and balances.

Skills and Experience

  • Sales experience, preferably within agriculture, machinery or equipment.
  • Good knowledge of farming and agricultural contracting.
  • Mechanically minded, with a practical understanding of agricultural machinery.
  • Confident communicating with customers, demonstrating equipment and closing sales.
  • Willingness to develop a thorough understanding of the Slurryquip product range.
  • Strong organisation, follow-up and time-management skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
  • Confident using CRM systems and maintaining accurate sales records.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Ireland.
