💼 Sales Representative

🔧 Hydraulic Components | 📍 Field-Based, UK-Wide Travel

About the company

Osprey Engineering Solutions are hiring on behalf of a well-established international manufacturer and supplier of hydraulic fittings, adapters, and accessories. It serves distributors, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and industrial customers. As the business grows its UK presence, it is looking for a driven Sales Representative to develop new business and strengthen relationships with existing customers.

The role

You will be responsible for growing sales across the UK. You'll promote the company's range of hydraulic fittings, adapters, and accessories, build strong customer relationships, and deliver agreed sales and growth targets.

⭐Key responsibilities

  • Manage and grow existing UK customer accounts through regular visits, proactive communication, and follow-up on sales opportunities
  • Identify and secure new business with distributors, OEMs, and industrial customers through prospecting, meetings, and product presentations
  • Develop and carry out a territory sales plan to meet revenue, profitability, and new business targets
  • Understand customer applications and work with internal technical teams to recommend the right products and solutions
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate within approved pricing guidelines, and follow up to convert enquiries into orders
  • Work with customer service, operations, and supply chain teams to resolve customer concerns and support on-time order fulfillment
  • Keep accurate CRM records, track opportunities, and report on account activity, forecasts, market trends, and competitor activity
  • Represent the company at UK trade shows and industry events, and support new product launches

⭐About you

  • Experience in business-to-business sales, ideally within hydraulic components, fluid power, or industrial products
  • A proven track record of winning new business, managing accounts, and hitting sales targets
  • An understanding of hydraulic fittings, adapters, and their applications, or the ability to learn quickly
  • Confident with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Commercially aware, with an eye for profitable growth opportunities
  • Self-motivated and organized, with strong follow-through, comfortable working independently and as part of a wider team
  • Willing to travel throughout the UK for customer visits and industry events
