The UK office, opened in 2018, is managed by an experienced team with extensive pet industry expertise, supporting growth across domestic and international markets. The company is committed to sustainable practices and building long-term partnerships within the pet care sector.

Role Description

The Sales Representative role is a full-time, on-site position based in the United Kingdom. The Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities with pet retailers, distributors, and manufacturers, while maintaining and growing existing accounts. Day-to-day activities include prospecting and cold outreach, conducting product presentations and demonstrations, negotiating pricing and contracts, and managing the sales pipeline to meet revenue targets. The role also involves collaborating with marketing and operations teams to align customer needs with product offerings, providing feedback on market trends, and ensuring timely follow-up and customer service. The Sales Representative will regularly visit customers and attend industry events to promote The Buffalo Co. brand and build strong, long-lasting relationships.

  • Proven experience in sales or account management, ideally within the pet industry, FMCG, or related sectors.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain product benefits clearly and persuasively.
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships, manage a sales pipeline, and achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Comfortable with on-site client visits, travel within the United Kingdom, and participation in trade shows or industry events.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, including CRM usage and basic proficiency with office productivity tools.
  • Understanding of retail and wholesale dynamics, pricing strategies, and contract manufacturing concepts is beneficial.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Relevant education or training in business, sales, marketing, or a related field is an advantage.
