The team is experienced in managing large crowds and addressing challenging situations to ensure safe, welcoming spaces for customers and staff.

Role Description

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Researcher to support our sales team by identifying new business opportunities, researching prospective clients, and help building high-quality sales pipelines within the security industry.

The successful candidate will research organisations and key decision-makers, identify potential security requirements, and provide the BDM with accurate, relevant intelligence to support targeted business development.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys research, working with data, identifying opportunities, and understanding how businesses can benefit from security services and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify prospective clients across relevant sectors, including commercial, retail, residential, construction, logistics, hospitality, healthcare, education, and public sector organisations.
  • Identify companies that may have a requirement for security services or security solutions.
  • Research key decision-makers and influencers, including Facilities Managers, Security Managers, Procurement Managers, Operations Directors, Property Managers, and business owners.
  • Build and maintain accurate prospect lists and databases.
  • Use LinkedIn, company websites, industry directories, business databases, and other research tools to identify potential opportunities.
  • Monitor market activity, company expansions, new developments, contracts, tenders, acquisitions, and other events that may create security requirements.
  • Research competitors and provide relevant market intelligence to the sales team.
  • Qualify prospects against agreed criteria and prioritise opportunities based on potential value and relevance.
  • Keep CRM records accurate and up to date.
  • Provide BDM with concise prospect profiles and useful background information before outreach.
  • Identify relevant contact details and appropriate routes into target organisations.
  • Track and report on research activity, prospect generation, and pipeline contribution.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to refine target markets and prospecting strategies.
  • Ensure all research and prospecting activity is conducted professionally and in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
