Sales Specialist – DevOps & Developer Experience
We’re looking for a Sales Specialist – DevOps & Developer Experience to help organisations modernise how software is planned, built, secured, deployed, and operated. In this role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to customers, combining commercial expertise with a strong understanding of Developer Experience, Platform Engineering, DevSecOps, and engineering transformation.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll lead specialist sales opportunities from early qualification through to successful closure, helping customers solve complex software delivery and engineering challenges. Working closely with Strategic Account Managers, Partner Managers, pre-sales, delivery teams, and practice leaders, you’ll shape winning solutions and build compelling commercial proposals, value-based business cases, and transformation roadmaps.
You’ll also:
- Engage senior stakeholders including CIOs, CTOs, Heads of Engineering, and Platform Leaders to understand priorities and challenges
- Lead discovery workshops, engineering assessments, and maturity assessments to uncover opportunities for DevOps and developer productivity transformation
- Develop clear customer value propositions that demonstrate business, engineering, and operational impact
- Apply structured sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC to drive opportunity quality, forecasting accuracy, and deal progression
- Build and execute territory and account plans that generate sustainable pipeline growth
- Support executive briefings, webinars, customer events, and industry forums to strengthen market presence and thought leadership

Partner ecosystem and market impact
This role is highly collaborative and partner-facing. You’ll work with leading technology partners including Atlassian, GitLab, Harness, AWS, Datadog, IBM, and Red Hat to develop strategic relationships, execute co-sell motions, and create joint go-to-market opportunities. You’ll also help position the organisation as a preferred partner for DevOps, Developer Experience, and software engineering transformation initiatives.

Essential experience and skills:
- Proven experience selling enterprise software, consulting, or transformation solutions in software engineering, DevOps, or cloud technology environments
- Strong knowledge of Developer Experience, DevOps, and modern software engineering practices
- Experience leading executive-level discovery conversations, workshops, and strategic customer engagements
- Ability to build business cases, value propositions, and transformation roadmaps aligned to engineering and business outcomes
- Demonstrable success managing complex enterprise sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and technical decision-makers
- Experience using structured sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC
- Strong commercial negotiation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills across both technical and business audiences
Desirable:
- Experience with ecosystems such as Atlassian, GitLab, Harness, Datadog, Chainguard, AWS, IBM, and Red Hat
- Familiarity with AI-enabled software development, automation, and emerging software engineering technologies
