Life on the team
We are looking for a passionate and commercially driven sales professional with experience in Data Centre, Private Cloud, Hybrid Infrastructure, AI Infrastructure or adjacent enterprise technologies, and a strong interest in supporting organisations across the UK Public Sector.
This role will focus on helping central government, healthcare, higher education, local government, emergency services and other public sector organisations modernise their infrastructure while meeting the unique demands of security, compliance, funding and procurement. You will lead virtual teams of sales, technical and partner specialists to develop and deliver complex transformational programmes that combine best-of-breed technologies with Computacenter's professional, managed and consulting services.
We welcome experienced sales professionals with a proven track record in Public Sector technology sales, as well as ambitious individuals with transferable experience and a passion for helping customers deliver better outcomes for citizens, patients, students and communities.
What you'll do
- Work closely with Account Teams to identify Data Centre, Hybrid Cloud, AI and Infrastructure Modernisation opportunities across Public Sector customers.
- Build and execute account strategies aligned to customer priorities, digital transformation initiatives and funding cycles.
- Own specialist opportunities from initial qualification through to closure and ongoing growth.
- Support customer discovery, helping organisations understand their current estate, challenges and future-state requirements.
- Develop compelling business cases that demonstrate operational, financial and citizen-service outcomes.
- Navigate complex stakeholder environments, building relationships across technical, operational, procurement and executive audiences.
- Work with internal specialists, service teams and strategic technology partners to develop differentiated solutions.
- Support customers through procurement routes including framework agreements and public sector tender processes.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Public Sector drivers including cyber resilience, sustainability, AI adoption, sovereign services and regulatory compliance.
- Provide thought leadership on infrastructure modernisation, cloud strategy, data sovereignty and AI-ready platforms.
- Develop and execute growth strategies to increase Computacenter's market share across the Public Sector portfolio.

What you'll need
- Experience selling complex infrastructure, data centre, hybrid cloud or AI solutions.
- Experience working with Public Sector organisations such as Central Government, NHS, Higher Education, Local Government, Emergency Services or Defence.
- A proven track record of leading and winning strategic technology engagements.
- Solid understanding of Public Sector procurement frameworks and buying processes.
- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across business, technical and procurement functions.
- Experience building trusted relationships with customers, partners and technology vendors.
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation and deal-closure skills.
- Proven history of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong collaborative approach and experience working within virtual teams.

Desirable (but not mandatory) experience
- Knowledge of Crown Commercial Service (CCS) frameworks and major Public Sector procurement routes.
- Experience selling solutions involving HPE, Dell, Lenovo, Nutanix, VMware/Broadcom, NVIDIA, NetApp, Cohesity or Rubrik.
- Understanding of security classifications, cyber resilience and data sovereignty requirements.
- Familiarity with AI infrastructure, GPU platforms and modern data platforms within regulated environments.
