This position reports to:

Sales & Marketing Manager UK-IE-MEA


Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for the sales of Emergency Lighting products/systems/services within a designated market/division, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Work model: remote and contributing to the Emergency Lighting Business in Ireland, Wales, and Midlands.
  • Communicating to the customers about details related to delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions, in line with ABB’s offering and strategy.
  • Ensuring efficient marketing activities and communicates value proposition to customers.
  • Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market.
  • Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supports cash collection and project management activities, when needed.
  • Monitoring customer and market trends along with the marketing team to develop effective marketing activities.
  • Working with marketing and other departments to prepare sales plans and bids, ensuring technical and financial accuracy.

Qualifications for the Role

  • Engaged with IoT, controls, and understanding of electrical installations and the industrial and commercial building markets.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Emergency Lighting, Mains lighting, Lighting Controls or high-level Life Safety Systems.
  • Ability to demonstrate project and design performance with Emergency Lighting Self-Contained and Central Power Systems and understanding of BS5499, EN1838 & EN50171.
  • Highly adept in a collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Passionate about driving sales and able to work alone while controlling and owning your own diary and updating CRM.
  • Proven experience with the ability to develop and manage customer relationships, delivery presentations and solve customer concerns successfully.
  • At ease communicating in English.
  • Hold current driving license valid in the United Kingdom.
