Sales Specialist
The Sales Specialist plays a key role in supporting the sales team by developing technical and commercial proposals for lift modernisation projects. Working closely with Sales Executives, Service Teams, and Engineering colleagues, the role ensures customers receive accurate, competitive, and value-driven solutions that meet their operational, technical, and budgetary requirements.
The successful candidate will combine technical expertise with commercial awareness to produce high-quality quotations, recommend appropriate modernisation solutions, and help secure new business from both existing and prospective customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Sales Team in developing tailored lift modernisation proposals for existing and new customers.
- Assess customer requirements and recommend technically appropriate modernisation solutions that deliver safety, reliability, compliance, energy efficiency, and improved performance.
- Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for lift modernisation projects.
- Review site information, technical specifications, surveys, and customer requirements to ensure quotations are comprehensive and commercially viable.
- Work collaboratively with Sales Executives throughout the sales process, providing technical guidance and product expertise.
- Liaise with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and Installation teams to ensure proposed solutions are deliverable and cost-effective.
- Ensure quotations comply with company standards, technical requirements, and current legislation.
- Respond promptly to technical queries from customers and internal stakeholders.
- Support negotiations by providing technical clarification and alternative solutions where required.
- Monitor quotation success rates and identify opportunities to improve competitiveness and conversion.
- Maintain accurate records within the company's CRM and quotation management systems.
- Keep up to date with industry developments, products, regulations, and emerging lift technologies.

Key Skills & Experience
This role is ideal for an individual ideally with a technical background in the lift industry or another engineering/construction discipline who enjoys combining engineering knowledge with commercial problem-solving. The successful candidate will be motivated by helping customers find the right modernisation solution while enabling the sales team to win profitable business. They will thrive in a collaborative environment where technical expertise, accuracy, and customer focus are essential to success.
