About the employer

Our Client is a well-established and growing manufacturer looking for an experienced and commercially driven professional to support the launch and expansion of business in the UK market.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing partnerships with major retail chains and identifying opportunities for private label products in the fast-growing sports nutrition and dietary supplements sector. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape a new business line from the ground up and contribute directly to the company's long-term growth strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy for the UK market, focusing on private label opportunities with retail chains
  • Identify, approach, and establish relationships with key decision-makers within UK retailers and distributors
  • Drive business development initiatives for instant products, including:
    • Whey Protein Concentrates (WPC)
    • Sports nutrition products
    • Collagen supplements
    • Dietary supplements
    • Other health and wellness products
  • Collaborate with retail partners to design and tailor product portfolios under their private label brands
  • Support product development by translating market needs into commercial opportunities
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and consumer preferences within the sports nutrition and supplements sectors
  • Contribute to the future development and rollout of the company's own brands in the UK market
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to build brand awareness and generate new business opportunities

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in B2B sales and business development within the UK market
  • Experience working with retail chains, either directly within retail organizations or as a supplier managing retail accounts
  • Strong understanding of private label business models and FMCG sales processes
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term commercial relationships
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently
  • Existing network of contacts within UK retail chains and/or the FMCG sector
  • Experience in sports nutrition, dietary supplements, health products, or related categories
  • Knowledge of vending, convenience retail, or alternative distribution channels
  • Experience launching new products or entering new markets
  • Understanding of UK regulatory requirements for food supplements and nutrition products
