Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Specialist (m/f/d) to join our commercial team. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop a successful career in technical sales within the maritime industry. You will initially support the sales team with commercial activities before gradually taking ownership of quotations, customer relationships, and sales opportunities.

Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders, you will play an important role in supporting business growth, maintaining commercial documentation, and delivering excellent customer service. This position is well suited to someone with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine willingness to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the sales team with day-to-day commercial and administrative activities
  • Prepare and manage customer quotations in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Maintain quotation logs, price lists, and other commercial documentation
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through professional communication and support
  • Participate in customer visits and assist with commercial follow-up activities
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries
  • Support the identification of new business opportunities and contribute to sales growth
  • Maintain accurate customer and sales information in CRM systems
  • Assist with sales reporting, forecasting, and continuous improvement of commercial processes
  • Carry out additional sales-related activities as assigned to support the business

Key Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in Business, Sales, Engineering, or a related field is an advantage
  • Strong communication and active listening skills
  • Customer-focused with the ability to build positive relationships
  • Positive, proactive, and can-do attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems is an advantage
  • Previous experience in sales support or customer service is beneficial but not essential
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
