I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Cell disruption is a technique used to extract the contents of cells (often yeasts or bacteria) which have been engineered to over-produce desirable biomolecules. Other laboratories use mammalian cell models to elucidate receptor binding functions or determine the protein structure of membrane bound proteins or organelles. With an increasing portfolio of products, now including extended products for microbiology, cell culture, bioprocess, and imaging, Constant Systems continue to be a key provider for laboratories working or researching in bioprocess, synthetic biology, structural biology, and organisms that demand controlled oxygen conditions.
Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid Sales Specialist role. The Sales Specialist will engage with existing and prospective customers to promote Constant Systems cell disruption, bioreactor/fermenter technologies, controlled oxygen chambers/incubators, and imaging systems, identify needs, and propose suitable solutions.
