Academy of Robotics is looking for temporary contract people to join us for an intensive 2-4 week sales project at our headquarters at RAF Neatishead in Norfolk.

Company Description

Academy of Robotics is a technology company powered by a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and researchers. The organization specializes in developing technologies that perform or simplify complex tasks, combining machine learning and mechatronics to create self-adapting machines and task-specific artificial intelligence. In 2020, Academy of Robotics launched some of the first self-driving cars in Europe and has been testing them on public roads in the UK since then. Team members work at the forefront of autonomous systems, contributing to products that push the boundaries of robotics and AI for real-world applications.

Role Description

The Sales Specialist is a contract, on-site role based in Norwich, focused on promoting Academy of Robotics’ solutions to prospective and existing customers. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and qualifying leads
  • Delivering product presentations and demonstrations
  • Managing the sales pipeline from initial contact through closing

The role involves building strong customer relationships, responding to inquiries, and collaborating with technical team members to translate complex product features into clear value propositions. The Sales Specialist will also provide basic training and onboarding support to new customers, maintain accurate sales documentation and reports, and contribute feedback on market trends and customer needs to support ongoing product and sales strategy.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Sales and Sales Management skills, including pipeline management and deal closing.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Candidates should possess Training skills to support customer onboarding and product understanding.
  • Experience in technology or robotics sales, or selling complex technical solutions, is beneficial.
  • Ability to work on-site in Norwich, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort with CRM tools, basic sales analytics, and reporting is preferred.
  • Relevant education or equivalent experience in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
