Job Description: Sales Support & Account Coordinator
About Protects Plus
Protects Plus was founded on a simple belief: healthcare compliance should not be complicated. With over 20 years’ experience, we support healthcare providers in managing complex compliance requirements across their estates. We work exclusively within healthcare environments, with particular expertise in mental health settings and anti-ligature compliance.
Today, we deliver a comprehensive range of compliance services including anti-ligature, fire safety, electrical, water hygiene, mechanical, and LOLER.
Our purpose is to provide evidence-based compliance support through a trusted, asset-driven platform. Our ambition is to become the recognised market leader in healthcare compliance.
The Opportunity
We are looking to appoint a Sales Support & Account Coordinator to support the next phase of our growth.
This role is the engine room of our sales operation. This involves taking a qualified enquiry the moment it arrives, sourcing and qualifying the right specialist partners to deliver it, obtaining competitive pricing, building and issuing the quotation, chasing it to a decision, and keeping every account moving in the background.
It suits someone who is organised, commercially minded and comfortable holding a lot of live threads at once, and who wants to grow with the business rather than settle at a fixed level.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Key Responsibilities
- Establish what each enquiry requires, research the relevant region, and qualify delivery partners on accreditation, insurance, financial standing and healthcare experience
- Obtain comparable quotations, interrogate partner pricing for exclusions and assumptions, apply agreed mark-up and scope wording, and issue the Protects Plus quotation
- Chase every quotation to a recorded decision, recommending the best-suited partner rather than defaulting to the cheapest
- Act as the day-to-day contact for nominated accounts, including our largest private healthcare accounts and a portfolio of NHS Trusts, coordinating surveys, remedial works, reports and certification between client, partner and operations
- Own HubSpot data quality across every live deal and produce the weekly pipeline report and monthly summary
- Support the sales team with briefing packs, the shared sales inbox, client-facing documents, purchase orders and invoice checks
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in sales support, internal sales, account coordination or contracts administration, ideally within building services, facilities management, compliance or construction
- A capable researcher who can start from a blank page and finish with three qualified, accredited, insured contractors and a reasoned recommendation
- Genuinely organised, comfortable holding thirty live threads at once with none of them dropped
- Strong written English and confidence on the phone with clients and delivery partners alike, able to chase without being apologetic or abrasive
- Commercially literate and competent with CRM systems (HubSpot or equivalent) and Microsoft 365
- Desirable: supply chain or subcontractor management experience, knowledge of healthcare estates compliance (HTM and HBN), experience of NHS or public sector procurement, or estimating and take-off experience

How We Work
We look for people who are hungry, humble and smart. Self-starting, head down and crack on. Team first, sharing credit and raising mistakes early. Commercially and personally astute, able to read people and situations and tell a cheap price from a good one. Problems should arrive with at least one proposed answer attached. This role exists to take work off other people, so it is not one for someone who needs a fixed script.
The Role
- £35,000 - £50,000 including a commission scheme on successful completion of a six-month probation
- Full-time, permanent and office-based in Wickford, Essex, relocating to Danbury within coming months
- Working closely with the Sales team, Operations and Finance, and our national network of delivery partners
- Clear progression toward full account ownership with a personal target, and in time toward leading a support function
