Sales Support Apprentice
A Sales Support Apprentice is required for a leading electrical wholesaler. The candidate will support the Sales Department along with serving customers on the trade counter. Fantastic career progression opportunity for the right candidate.

What is an Electrical Wholesaler?
Electrical wholesalers sell the products we all use in our homes, businesses, entertainment venues, and cafés that give us access to electricity. From lighting our homes through to floodlighting a football match, from recharging a mobile phone to recharging an electric vehicle. The products you will be working with are used in domestic, industrial, and commercial settings, and are installed by contractors and electricians.
Role Overview
We are currently looking to recruit a full-time apprentice 8am-5pm Monday to Friday.
The sales support role is extremely varied; you will be required to work alongside the sales department.
Responsibilities
This busy Edmundson Electrical branch is looking for a highly motivated apprentice to join our busy branch. After full training, responsibilities will include:
- Enter supplier invoices into our bespoke system
- Check for pricing and quantity anomalies
- Liaise with our branches
- Answering the telephone
- Checking customer invoices against store purchase orders
- Raising debits and credits
- Serving on the trade counter
- General admin duties
- Learning products and codes
- May be required to help out within the warehouse if busy

Apprenticeship Details
The Apprenticeship Training Agency will employ you on behalf of Edmundson Electrical whilst you are completing your apprenticeship qualification.
Apprenticeship qualification will be Customer Service Level 2/3 which is carried out within the workplace. Allocated time will be allocated for you to complete work.
Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

Course Contents
- Use a range of questioning skills, including listening and responding in a way that builds rapport, determines customer needs and expectations, and achieves positive engagement and delivery.
- Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication skills, along with summarising language during face-to-face communications; and/or
- Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate communication skills, along with reinforcement techniques (to confirm understanding) during non-facing customer interactions.
- Depending on your job role and work environment: Use an appropriate ‘tone of voice’ in all communications, including written and digital, that reflect the organisation’s brand.
- Provide clear explanations and offer options in order to help customers make choices that are mutually beneficial to both the customer and your organisation.

- Demonstrate patience and calmness.
- Show you understand the customer’s point of view.

Training Schedule
Completing a Level 2/3 Customer Service Apprenticeship Standard, consisting of:
- Knowledge and competence qualification in Customer Service
- End-Point Assessment (EPA) - final test and observation
The vocational and academic training aspects are separated and delivered by separate teams. The vocational training and assessment are conducted, more often than not, on-site according to the employers wishes.
Notice of dates is agreed well in advance of a site visit. Training and assessment are conducted both on and off the job, according to the needs of the course and the learner. Every effort is made to ensure the best result is achieved by the learner.

- GCSE in:
- English (grade 4-9)
- Maths (grade 4-9)

Employment and Earnings
The ATA will employ you on behalf of this organisation Edmundson Electrical whilst you are completing your apprenticeship qualification.
