Salary: £25,610 per annum + Company Performance Bonus
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (08:30 - 17:00)

Portway Domestic Appliances is a leading UK distributor of domestic appliances, supplying customers nationwide. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Sales Support & Business Development Executive to join our team.
This is a varied role that combines sales support, customer service, order processing, and business development. You'll play a key role in supporting our field sales team while also managing customer enquiries and identifying opportunities to generate additional sales.
The Role
As a Sales Support & Business Development Executive, you will be at the centre of our sales operation, acting as a key point of contact for customers and providing vital support to our field-based sales team.
You will manage inbound customer enquiries, process telephone and web orders, coordinate with colleagues across the business, and proactively contact customers to build relationships and uncover new sales opportunities.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with customers, has a commercial mindset, and is confident communicating over the phone.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support to the field sales team, assisting with customer enquiries, quotations, reports, and account management activities.
- Act as a key point of contact for customers via telephone and email.
- Manage inbound sales enquiries and convert opportunities into orders.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, including telephone, email, and web orders.
- Proactively contact existing and prospective customers to develop relationships and generate sales opportunities.
- Follow up quotes, enquiries, and leads to maximize sales conversion.
- Maintain accurate customer records within the CRM system.
- Produce sales and customer reports as required.
- Coordinate daily delivery schedules with external transport providers, reviewing returned run sheets, and verifying the accuracy of all next-day customer deliveries to ensure smooth and efficient fulfillment.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure excellent customer service and timely order fulfillment.
- Build strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships.

About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Confident and professional when speaking with customers.
- Comfortable making outbound calls and developing customer relationships.
- Experienced in sales support, customer service, internal sales, telesales, or order processing.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Customer-focused and commercially aware.
- A competent user of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Familiar with CRM systems; experience using Sage or Sage CRM would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a fast-paced team.
