Your role
As a Sales Support Engineer, your mission is to deliver accurate, efficient, and customer-focused technical support for medical gas pipeline systems. You will play a vital role in designing systems, preparing tenders, and providing expert advice to ensure our clients receive the highest standard of service and solutions tailored to their needs. You’ll compile contract documentation, meet customer deadlines, and provide technical support on product selection and design practices.
You will
- Carry out Medical Gas Pipeline System (MGPS) design and material/equipment estimates.
- Review project documentation including drawings and specifications.
- Provide accurate tenders and estimates within prioritised time-scales.
- Provide a degree of technical support/advice on product and design practice.
- Produce tender drawings for customer review.
- Interpret customer specifications, drawings to design piped medical gas systems.
- Verify design parameters for medical gas to applicable standards such as HTM02-01.
- Provide accurate data as required for reporting of quote values, revisions, lead time etc.
- Produce designs using the best choice of equipment to meet customer needs in line with analysis criteria.
- Using CAD packages (Typically Revit), produce isometric, schematic and layout drawings when required.
- Resolve technical issues in relation to design or standards.

To succeed, you will need

- Great attention to detail.
- Good commercial knowledge and the ability to analyse drawings.
- Have previous estimating experience and be able to interpret layout drawings.
- Computer literate with a basic knowledge of autocad or Revit (BIM desirable), Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint as well as cloud based applications such as Sharepoint, Teams, Onenote.

Job location
This role requires you to work on-site at our office in Chesterfield, United Kingdom (GB). You will be part of a dynamic team and enjoy the benefits of face-to-face collaboration.
