About the Role
We’re looking for a bright, well-organised Sales Support Executive to join our growing sales team. You’ll sit at the centre of the sales process, turning customer requirements into accurate quotes and orders, and keeping customers informed from quote through to delivery.
Working closely with our account managers, key distributors, pre-sales and provisioning teams, this is a genuinely varied, cross-functional role. It’s ideal for someone with an interest in technology who enjoys detail and pace – and it offers a strong commercial grounding and a natural route into a sales career at VCG.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and process day-to-day sales orders and quotes across our volume-based accounts, with accurate part numbers, quantities and pricing.
- Act as the day-to-day contact for our key distributors – requesting quotes and chasing pricing, stock availability and lead times.
- Manage vendor and distributor deal registrations and special pricing requests with partners including Cisco, Fortinet and Microsoft.
- Work with pre-sales and technical teams to turn solution designs into accurate bills of materials, priced quotes and orders.
- Liaise with provisioning and service delivery to make sure orders are complete, and track them through to delivery.
- Keep customers updated on order progress and delivery dates, and respond to queries promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM and support renewals and service contract administration.

Requirements
Essential
- 1–3 years’ experience in a sales support, sales administration, order processing or customer service role, ideally within technology, telecoms, reseller or distribution.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail, with the ability to handle a high volume of orders without losing accuracy.
- A confident communicator, comfortable dealing with customers, colleagues and suppliers by phone and email.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- A genuine interest in technology and a willingness to learn – full training provided on our solutions portfolio.

- Experience working with IT or telecoms distributors, managing back orders and lead times.
- Exposure to a CRM system such as HubSpot or Salesforce, or vendor tools such as Cisco CCW.
- Previous experience within an MSP, IT reseller or managed services business.
