Kenny Waste Management, based on Lester Road in Worsley, is Manchester’s largest independent total waste management business, providing environmentally safe waste services and skip hire for over 35 years. The company supports a wide range of clients regionally and nationally, including multinational corporations, commercial organizations, and domestic customers. With advanced waste recovery and recycling facilities in the North West, Kenny Waste Management processes over 15,000 tonnes of waste each month. Guided by the core values of “recover, divert from landfill, recycle,” the company currently diverts 99% of collected waste from landfill and is committed to achieving zero-landfill status. Kenny Waste Management also runs a social enterprise that helps long-term unemployed individuals, ex-offenders, and young people access steady employment, making a positive impact in local communities.
Role Description
The Sales Support role is a full-time, on-site position from our shared offices in Lowry Mill - Swinton based in Manchester. The successful candidate will assist the sales team with daily administrative tasks, including:

The role involves:
- Responding to customer inquiries
- Coordinating with operations and customer service teams
- Ensuring timely follow-up on leads and proposals
The Sales Support team member will help produce sales reports, support tender and bid preparation, and contribute to maintaining accurate pricing and contract documentation. This position requires consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders to support efficient sales processes and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, including experience with data entry, document management, and CRM or sales systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to handle inquiries, build rapport, and follow up professionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic numeracy skills for preparing quotations and reports.
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales, operations, and customer service teams, while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Previous experience in sales support, administration, or a similar role, ideally within waste management, logistics, or related sectors.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders, updating records, and maintaining compliance with company procedures.
- Positive, proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality support to internal and external stakeholders.
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications; further education or vocational training in business, administration, or customer service would be advantageous.
