As part of our Sales Talent Pool, you'll be first in line for a range of roles across our sales team. We're always on the lookout for great salespeople, so rather than post one role at a time and hope the right person spots it, we're building a community of people we want to talk to first. Register your interest and we'll come to you as soon as the right opportunity opens up.
The roles we're building this pool for:
- Sales Associate
- Commercial Specialist
- Cross Sales Specialist
- Business Development Representatives
Forget long lists, here's what you'll actually spend your time on:
- Building relationships with prospective and existing customers, understanding what they need and matching them to the right Checkatrade product or service
- Owning your own pipeline from first conversation through to close, keeping momentum without letting anything slip through the cracks
- Hitting (and beating) targets through a mix of outbound calling, negotiation and relationship-building
- Spotting genuine opportunities to cross-sell and upsell, because it helps the customer, not just the numbers
- Sharing what's working with the wider sales team, and picking up tips from everyone else doing the same
- Keeping your CRM up to date so the team always has an accurate view of where deals stand

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
It's not about ticking every box. It's about turning up curious, ready to crack on. You'll do well here if you bring:
- Experience in a sales, telesales or account management role (or bags of eagerness if you're just starting out)
- A track record of hitting targets, or the drive and resilience to build one
- Confident, clear communication — you build rapport fast and hold your own on the phone
- Comfortable juggling a busy pipeline and keeping a CRM up to date
We believe great work deserves great rewards. Here's just a taste:
- Competitive salary + annual bonus or commission (role dependent)
- Employee Share Programme
- Health, well-being and learning support
- Gym membership, Smart Tech Scheme and Cycle Scheme
- Birthday/Special day leave
- Buy & sell holiday scheme
- 1 week's paid charity leave and much more!
Because this is a talent pool rather than one live vacancy, here's how it works:
- A screening call with one of our Talent Acquisition Partners, to understand your experience and what you're looking for
- We'll keep your profile on file and match you to the right team as soon as a relevant role opens
- From there, you'll go through that role's specific process, typically a hiring manager interview, a short task or case study, and a final conversation with the team
