About Ryft

Ryft is a regulated payment facilitator and authorised payment institution building the infrastructure layer for modern commerce platforms. We enable marketplaces, SaaS platforms and multi-party ecosystems to embed and monetise payments natively. Our technology handles onboarding, compliance, orchestration, split payments and revenue sharing, allowing our partners to focus on growth while we manage complexity.

We are now entering the next phase of scale, expanding into new verticals and building a category-defining embedded payments platform.

About The Role

We're looking for an Sales Team Lead to combine individual sales delivery with the management of a small team of Account Executives. You'll carry your own number, actively hunt and close new business, and also be responsible for the performance, development and output of your team. This is a player-coach role. You'll spend a meaningful portion of your week prospecting, pitching and closing deals yourself, while coaching your team to do the same. You'll report into commercial leadership and act as the connective layer between the wider sales strategy and day-to-day execution on the floor.

You will...

Individual contribution

  • Prospect from a book of ICP leads while also identifying and qualifying your own potential clients
  • Build relationships with decision makers, understand customer needs, deliver sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals
  • Communicate with and influence C-suite level executives to use Ryft as their payment partner
  • Carry and hit your own sales target alongside your management responsibilities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Team leadership

  • Line-manage a small team of Account Executives, including 1:1s, performance reviews and career development
  • Coach the team on pipeline generation, deal strategy, negotiation and objection handling
  • Monitor individual and team performance against targets, identifying where to intervene and support
  • Work with commercial leadership to set team targets and build the sales growth plan
  • Support hiring and onboarding as the team grows
  • Ensure the team is using the CRM properly and pipeline data is accurate and up to date

Cross-functional

  • Collaborate with non-commercial departments to ensure clients have a smooth journey from initial meeting to becoming a Ryft client
  • Feed market and client insight back into product and commercial strategy
  • Act as an escalation point for your team's deals where senior input is needed

You must be comfortable generating your own pipeline and closing deals, as well as being accountable for the output of others.

Experience

  • B2B sales experience selling a complex product with a longer sales cycle (3 months+)
  • A consistent track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience where pipeline generation has been a core requirement, not just inbound management
  • Experience prospecting, developing relationships and negotiating deals through to close
  • Prior experience managing, mentoring or leading other salespeople
  • Experience using CRM systems to track progress and contribute to a sales growth plan

Skills that will help you succeed

  • Self-driven, with the ability to prioritise your own selling time against team management demands
  • Strong communication skills, both with clients and with your team
  • The ability to persuasively demonstrate product and industry knowledge to clients
  • The ability to coach others rather than just do the work for them
  • A creative approach to sales and the sales cycle
  • Strong commercial acumen and a desire to find new ways to grow the business
  • Comfortable operating with relative autonomy, and giving that same autonomy to your team

Please note these are not all absolute requirements. We value attitude and cultural fit as much as experience, so if you don't match all of the above but are interested in the role, please don't hesitate to apply.
