Our client is a successful, values-led consumer finance business with an established presence in Manchester.

About the Role

As the company continues to grow, it is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead, motivate and develop a team of consultative sales professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, developing people and delivering strong commercial results—without losing sight of the customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Leading, motivating and inspiring the team to achieve and exceed key performance targets
  • Monitoring performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Delivering regular coaching, training and development sessions
  • Supporting team members with their personal and professional progression
  • Creating an engaging, accountable and high-performing sales environment
  • Working closely with fellow managers and other departments to support wider business goals
  • Ensuring customers remain at the heart of the sales process
  • Leading from the front and becoming actively involved in the sales operation when required

Qualifications

  • At least 18 months’ experience in a sales management role
  • Experience leading a high-activity B2B or B2C sales team
  • A background in consultative sales
  • A strong track record of achieving commercial targets
  • Practical experience of coaching and developing salespeople
  • Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills
  • A positive, adaptable and hands-on management style
  • Sound commercial judgement and a commitment to delivering positive customer outcomes
