Sales Team Leader, Specialist Technical Training

We're a specialist provider of technical IT, networking, telecoms, and infrastructure training, with a strong reputation among clients including MOD, Siemens, Heathrow, Virgin Media, LINX, BBC, and Sky. We write much of our own course material, and we're known for quality.

We're looking for a commercially driven Sales Team Leader to take ownership of the sales function and help us grow, taking day-to-day sales leadership off the Managing Director's plate while building the team and the pipeline.

This is a hands-on, sell-and-lead role, not a desk-bound management job. You'll spend the majority of your time selling: developing your own portfolio of client and prospect accounts, closing business, and driving revenue. The rest is leading and growing a small sales team (currently two), bringing structure to forecasting and pipeline, and working closely with Operations to deliver an excellent client experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

If you're a strong B2B seller ready to step up into leadership, or a sales manager who still loves to sell, we'd like to hear from you.

What you'll do

  • Personally sell. Develop and grow a portfolio of client and prospect accounts, and hit your own number
  • Lead, coach, and grow a small sales team, with a real mandate to build the function over time
  • Own forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM discipline (we use Pipedrive)
  • Bring structure and consistency to prospecting, follow-up, and quote progression
  • Feed practical input into marketing and lead generation (LinkedIn, campaigns, outbound)
  • Work hand-in-glove with Operations so courses are planned and delivered to a high standard

What we're looking for

  • A proven B2B seller with a track record of carrying and hitting a personal target
  • Either experience leading a small team, or the appetite and aptitude to step up into it
  • Strong forecasting, pipeline, and CRM habits
  • Confident building relationships and writing clear proposals
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to bring structure to a small team
  • Experience in training, IT, telecoms, or technical services is a plus, not a must. You'll need familiarity with the buzzwords and training formats, and our technical experts support you in client conversations
  • An interest in helping grow a business, not just maintain it
