Job Purpose Summary
CMS Cablenet is looking for an experienced and successful Account Management professional to lead a team of UK-based Account Managers. As the Sales Team Leader, you will represent and promote the CMS Cablenet portfolio of hardware solutions. In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving a strategically managed, profitable, and growing sales operation—built on strong customer relationships and a commitment to sales excellence. The CMS Cablenet sales team focuses on helping customers achieve their strategic business goals through our comprehensive cable solutions.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and motivate team members to achieve individual and group performance targets.
- Work closely with the Head of Sales to implement sales strategies and initiatives across the team.
- Organise and allocate workloads, ensuring timely and efficient task completion.
- Drive collaboration between CMS and Cablenet.
- Provide feedback and insights from the frontline to inform sales strategy and decision-making.
- Act as the main point of contact between the team and management in the Head of Sales’ absence.
- Monitor performance, provide feedback, and conduct regular check-ins with team members.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, processes, and quality standards.
- Resolve day-to-day issues and escalate more complex problems as needed.
- Maintain a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Prepare and deliver reports on team performance and progress when needed.
- Ensure the Sales Team utilise all sales tools relevant to individual accounts/ opportunities.
- Work closely with Marketing on defining campaign follow up and reporting.
- Actively seek relevant information to stay ahead of the competition and remain up to date with the industry.
- Complete quarterly EE reviews with direct reports, helping to set objectives and KPIs each quarter.
- Support with career pathways and learning and development opportunities within the team.

Additional Responsibilities
Skills & Personal Attributes
- Minimum of 3 years experience in IT Sales.
- Strong IT industry knowledge with the passion and capacity to learn and retain knowledge about sales engagement processes and new products accurately.
- Proven success introducing emerging products to the channel.
- New Business prospecting experience, with proven results.
- Outstanding organisational skills and ability to manage own time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate eloquently in both written and verbal formats, both face to face and remotely.
- Superior leadership skills with the ability to enable high performers to deliver and motivate underperformers to improve.
- Strong sales management skills and individual sales experience – ability to effectively lead and coach team members to effectively sell over the phone, email, video and modern demonstration tools.
- Sound business acumen, with experience to construct commercial proposals, negotiate and close deals.
- Excellent presentation and demonstration skills.
- Conscientious and committed combined with flexibility in attitude and approach.
