Sales Team Leader | London | £45k + comms + bonus (OTE Yr 1 £70k+)

The Opportunity

We are working with a leading premium sports hospitality business to recruit an ambitious and commercially driven Sales Team Leader / Sales Manager.

The business delivers high-end hospitality and premium experiences around some of the UK's biggest sporting and entertainment events, working with clients across the UK and internationally.

This is a hands-on player-manager role for an experienced sales leader who enjoys being close to the action.

You will lead, coach and develop a team of Sales Executives while maintaining your own sales pipeline and personal revenue target.

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will play a key role in driving revenue, developing talent and creating a high-performance sales culture.

The Role

You will take ownership of a sales team, setting the standard for outbound sales excellence while supporting individuals to achieve and exceed their targets.

This role combines team leadership, coaching, recruitment and performance management with personal sales responsibility. You'll be expected to lead from the front, demonstrate excellent sales behaviours and remain actively involved in winning new business.

The role is 5 days in office a week from London.

Key Responsibilities

Lead & Develop the Team

  • Recruit, onboard and develop high-potential New Business Executives.
  • Deliver structured onboarding, training and ongoing coaching.
  • Manage and mentor team members through regular 1:1s, call coaching and performance reviews.
  • Set clear expectations around activity, attendance, performance and behaviour.
  • Address underperformance quickly and constructively.
  • Build a competitive, energetic and collaborative sales culture.

Drive Performance

  • Own team KPIs, revenue targets and activity metrics.
  • Monitor pipeline, conversion rates and outbound activity.
  • Identify performance gaps and implement strategies to improve results.
  • Motivate the team to consistently achieve and exceed targets.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced sales professional who combines strong individual sales ability with proven leadership and coaching skills.

You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience managing and developing a high-performing sales team.
  • A strong background in outbound sales, cold calling and new business development.
  • Experience working in a player-manager capacity, balancing personal targets with team leadership.
  • A demonstrable track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to develop junior sales talent.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing ability.
  • Commercial confidence and a strong understanding of sales performance metrics.
  • Energy, resilience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • A hands-on approach and a genuine desire to lead from the front.
  • An interest in sport, events, hospitality or premium experiences would be advantageous.

This is fast-paced outbound sales environment, high energy and with real genuine career opportunities as well as earning potential. With the majority earning £100k + by year three.

We’re looking for someone who has managed and developed junior sales people, someone who is experienced in the faster-paced outbound style sales.

There is a clear difference between the old school boiler room sales and high energy, this isn’t boiler style. It’s genuine sales, genuine excitement and with a defined path.
