This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and experienced people leader to join Northgate Insurance Services, one of the UK’s leading providers of bespoke accident claims and mobility services for motorists, based at our contact centre in Peterlee.

As a Team Manager, you will lead, support and develop a motivated team of sales advisors, helping them deliver excellent customer outcomes while achieving key performance goals. You will do this through regular one-to-ones, coaching, training, quality monitoring, performance feedback and day-to-day support.

You will also act as a key escalation point for our diverse customer base, ensuring customer satisfaction, clear communication and fair outcomes remain at the heart of every decision, in line with our values.

  • Salary - £29,283 - £32,670 per annum, based on experience, enhanced by a monthly performance bonus.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is confident leading people, passionate about delivering great customer service and able to create an environment where colleagues feel supported, engaged and motivated to perform at their best.

To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally bring:

  • At least 2 years’ experience working at a similar management level within a contact centre environment.
  • A professional and pragmatic approach, with people at the heart of everything you do.
  • A strong customer service ethos and the ability to make balanced decisions that support both customers and colleagues.
  • The ability to lead, coach and develop a team, creating a positive culture where people feel involved and engaged.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ideally, experience within motor insurance, accident management or claims handling.
