Your Role
Do you have a strong interest in financial markets and the evolving electronification of global futures execution? Are you a team player with an entrepreneurial mindset looking to join a cross-asset and cross-channel desk, focusing on futures execution and the adoption of a hybrid electronic / voice sales trading role? We are looking for someone with a passion for markets, a strong growth mindset, and an acute attention to detail who will:
- Have a robust understanding of global Futures markets, market structure, regulation and dealing practices
- Provide timely and effective execution of client orders (agency execution) as a subject matter expert
- Become fluent in our systems’ architecture and proactively monitor global electronic direct market access and algorithmic flow across multiple asset classes
- Deliver ETD Execution consultancy through analysis of algo performance, TCA (Trade Cost Analysis) reports and market structure insights
- Act as a conduit for clients to drive client requests, positive outcomes and issue resolution across teams and regions
- Pioneer a unique coverage model which is a crossover between voice execution and electronic execution as we evolve into a hybrid execution team
- Formulate a business strategy to identify new opportunities and to drive client acquisition, market share growth and increased overall profitability of your client coverage list
- Effectively assess and manage risk in high pressure situations to minimize operational, reputational, regulatory and commercial risks
- Collaborate closely with various internal teams from operations to IT to resolve client issues and drive client solutions
- Articulate clear handovers of issues to global teams and management and work closely with regional desks that operate on a follow-the-sun model

Your Team
UBS Electronic and Voice Execution sits in our Global Markets division and offers cross-asset and cross-channel client execution and electronic trading solutions. Your role will be on the hybrid Electronic/ Voice Salestrading desk based in London and you will be working closely with colleagues in Zurich, Milan, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney to cover our clients on a 24 hour/5.5 day basis.
Your Expertise
- Experience in exchange traded derivatives
- A graduate degree in a STEM subject
- Strong data analytic skills e.g. Python
- Strong understanding of vendor trading systems, e.g. Trading Technologies, CME Firmsoft and Eurex GUI
- Keen interest in execution algorithms, market microstructure and technological developments in capital markets
- Solid knowledge of Transaction Cost Analysis and how to leverage TCA data to improve execution quality and enhance algo behaviors
- Fluency in English and ideally one other European language
