About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Trainer to join our growing Training & Development team. Reporting to the Training & Development Manager, you will play a key role in designing and delivering engaging learning solutions that drive sales performance across multiple distribution channels.

This is a highly visible role where you'll work closely with Team Managers, Sales Excellence, Sales Intelligence and wider stakeholders to enhance capability, improve customer outcomes and support business performance.

You will combine coaching, training delivery, performance analysis and stakeholder engagement to help create a culture of continuous learning, compliance and sales excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver coaching, training and development across all sales distribution channels.
  • Design and deliver engaging onboarding and continuous learning programmes for new and existing employees.
  • Conduct call listening, side-by-side coaching and performance reviews to identify strengths and development opportunities.
  • Provide actionable feedback and follow-up coaching plans to improve sales effectiveness.
  • Partner with Team Managers to identify capability gaps and create targeted development solutions.
  • Analyse sales performance data, advisor behaviour and customer trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with Sales Intelligence, Insight and Sales Excellence teams to support data-driven decision making.
  • Use voice analytics and performance insights to uncover quick wins and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the development and enhancement of training content, coaching frameworks and onboarding strategies.
  • Drive improvements in individual KPIs and overall team performance.
  • Promote and embed a culture of sales excellence, compliance and continuous learning.
  • Maintain accurate records and administration to evidence coaching and training activity.
  • Continuously develop your own knowledge and capability to remain at the forefront of learning and development best practice.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience in a sales training, sales coaching or learning and development role within a contact centre or regulated sales environment.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end sales journey and customer experience.
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving and improving sales performance.
  • Experience coaching individuals and teams using a variety of coaching techniques.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Confidence delivering constructive feedback that drives behavioural change.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, opportunities and performance drivers.
  • Passion for developing people and helping others succeed.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic and solutions-focused approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
