Summary
A sales and warehouse apprentice is required for a leading electrical wholesaler. The candidate will work on the sales counter and sales office along with working within the warehouse picking and packing. Fantastic career progression opportunity for the right candidate.
Wage: £16,640 to £26,436.80, depending on your age

Hours
Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 5.00pm (with 1-hour for lunch). 40 hours a week

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Albion Electrical are looking for a sales & warehouse apprentice who will work on our trade counter, dealing with customers along with helping out within the warehouse. After full training, responsibilities will include:
- Managing stock in and out (to external clients)
- Completing the paperwork within the office
- Raising quotations
- Trade counter
- Sales calls
- Processing orders
- Administration
- Answering the telephone
Some heavy lifting will be involved with loading and unloading the vans.

- Conduct risk assessments within the working environment.
- Apply safe working practices in line with associated health and safety legislation and company policy.
- Receive products in line with organisational procedures.
- Store and pick products in line with organisational procedures.
- Dispatch products in line with organisational procedures.
- Decant, pack products in line with organisational procedures.
- Communicate with others verbally, for example internal and external customers, colleagues, and managers.
- Communicate in writing with others, for example internal and external customers, colleagues and managers.
- Load and unload products, considering the product that is to be moved and its current and planned destination.
- Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling.
- Use information technology and digital systems.
- Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
- Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
- Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
- Support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
- Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
- Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance.
- Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.
- Follow equity, diversity and inclusion rules.
- Carry out and record learning and development activities.
- Conducts handover activities.

Training schedule
Completing a Level 2 Supply Chain warehouse Apprenticeship standard, consisting of:
- Knowledge and competence qualification in supply chain warehouse at Level 2
- Functional Skills in maths and English if required
- End-Point Assessment (EPA) - final test and observation
The vocational and academic training aspects are separated and delivered by separate teams. The vocational training and assessment is conducted, more often than not, on-site according to the employer's wishes. Notice of dates is agreed well in advance of a site visit. Training and assessment are conducted both on and off the job, according to the needs of the course and the learner. Every effort is made to ensure the best result is achieved by the learner.

Essential qualifications
- GCSE in: English (grade 9-4)
- GCSE in: Maths (grade 9-4)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
