Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Sales/Customer Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. Dash Insurance is one of the UK's leading providers of impound insurance, the short-term cover drivers need to get their vehicle released from a police compound. Our customers find us online on a stressful day, and our job is to sort them out quickly, clearly and properly.
You'll handle inbound calls, web chats and emails from people who need cover, guide them through the process, and get their policy issued so they can collect their car, usually the same day.
This is a sales role without the hard sell. Customers already need what we offer. What matters is being clear, honest and quick, following up quotes that haven't converted, and getting the details right. You'll also handle post-sale queries like documents, amendments, cancellations and refunds.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers via phone, email, and live chat to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Assist customers with product information, service inquiries, and troubleshooting in a professional manner.
- Utilize data entry skills to accurately record customer interactions, transactions, and feedback.
- Identify opportunities for upselling additional products or services that meet customer needs.
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to foster positive customer experiences.

Requirements
- Proven experience in sales or customer service roles.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional phone etiquette, especially when dealing with stressed customers.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced call centre.
- Willingness to learn about our products, services, and sales techniques.
- Insurance experience is helpful but not essential. We provide full training on our products, systems and the regulatory side, and we'll support you towards insurance qualifications (CII) if you want them.

We're an FCA-regulated firm, so the successful candidate will complete pre-employment checks including references, right to work, a basic DBS check and a credit check.
