The Role
The Salesforce Administrator is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and enhancing Salesforce and its connected systems. This role requires strong Salesforce technical expertise as well as the ability to develop a deep understanding of how our business processes are supported by Salesforce.
A key expectation is becoming a subject matter expert in our Salesforce ecosystem—understanding how the system is configured, how processes and automations work, what triggers different actions, how data flows between Salesforce and connected systems, and where sequencing and data requirements are critical. This knowledge will be essential for troubleshooting issues, executing assigned work, and making changes without disrupting existing processes or integrations.
Business Process & Salesforce Ecosystem Knowledge
- Business Process & System Expertise: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our business processes and how Salesforce and connected systems are configured to support them.
- System Dependencies & Integrations: Understand automation triggers, process sequencing, data requirements, integrations, and dependencies between Salesforce and connected systems, including how changes or actions in one area may impact another.
- Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Diagnose Salesforce, automation, data, and integration issues by tracing processes, system actions, data flows, and dependencies to identify root causes and appropriate solutions before escalating to the Solution Architect.
- System Documentation: Maintain documentation of key processes and update User Guides to the latest changes and developments by using Confluence

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
